SRI LANKA 2025

An all-inclusive experience FEBRUARY 2ND-9TH

About this experience

Mariana has partnered up with her sweet friend, Sarah Bernstein, owner of Salty At Heart Apothecary in Friday Harbor, WA. Together, we will be returning to the Knuckles Mountain Range of Sri Lanka to host a very special experience.

You can anticipate 7 days & 7 nights of foundational yoga, intimate connection circles, cultural excursions, and authentic vegetarian cuisine. This is a culturally immersive experience. Together we will experience the buzz of Kandy culture; immerse ourselves into the magic of a cloud forest; explore local village life amidst rice paddy fields; and receive traditional Ayurvedic massage treatments.

This retreat is for every BODY, meaning someone who has never done yoga before to all-level yogis are welcome to join us for this all-inclusive week of revival and wonder.

About your hosts

Mariana is a life long movement practitioner, yoga teacher, and yoga therapist. She completed her initial alignment-based vinyasa yoga training in Thailand in 2019. After teaching in person and online for a few years, Mariana traveled to India in 2023 for additional training in Hatha Yoga and to begin her 2-year long Yoga Therapy Certification. She is also a Breathwork facilitator and co-founder of Flow Collective, a donation based yoga space for her local community. This will be her 3rd consecutive year returning to Sri Lanka to lead retreat. Mariana is happiest by the water, surrounded by loved ones, living simply and sustainably.

Sarah is an outdoor and travel enthusiast with a passion for experiential education. She has spent nearly a decade leading research and expedition trips around the globe, from the rugged landscapes of Alaska to the pristine beauty of the Galapagos and Antartica. During these travels, Sarah was inspired to deepen her connection to the mind, body, and spirit by completing a yoga teacher training in Bali in 2018. Sarah specializes in facilitating intimate connection circles, guiding Qi Gong and Theta meditation, and sharing the transformative power of herbal medicine. When she’s not leading retreats, you can find her on the water, soaking up the natural beauty of her small island home in the Pacific Northwest. She also enjoys immersing herself in her apothecary, crafting unique and holistic products, and never misses an opportunity to witness a sunset.

Your hosts are avid travelers and they are devoted to wholesome living. Their intention in hosting this retreat is to bring you an experience that is as deeply nourishing as it is eye-opening and transformational.

Excursions

*Please note that this is subject to change due to weather conditions and group preferences, but this will give you an idea of what to expect

  • Trekking & nature immersion: Take on the challenge of hiking the highest peaks in the Knuckles Mountain Range (17-26km) -or- opt for a gentler journey and immerse yourself in the nature of Heeloya National Park. In either case you will be accompanied by a state-licensed guide.

  • Kandy culture tour: immerse yourself in the buzz of an authentic Sri Lankan city. Tuk tuk to the famous Temple of the Tooth Relic, explore local markets and tasty treats, visit an Ayurvedic pharmacy.

  • A give back project: We've partnered up with the local community and have arranged to spend an afternoon volunteering at the local school deep in the mountains surrounded by tea plantations. We will gather gifts for the school and spend an afternoon helping in whatever way will be more valuable to them. This is a way of expressing gratitude to the land and people hosting us.
